Impediments to localization agenda: humanitarian space in the Rohingya response in Bangladesh

Abstract The article spotlights the impediments of localization agenda in Rohingya response Bangladesh through notion humanitarian space. Rohingyas rely entirely on material aid and services camps, mainly stemming from international actors committed to agenda, which, however, has not been effectively implemented. Drawing definition space as an arena, we investigate main negotiations within how they impede realization agenda. We conducted secondary data analysis reports published by organizations involved validated findings with ten telephone interviews Bangladesh. identified three negotiations. First, negotiation nature partnership between local actors, including debates “local”; second, concerning characteristics appreciation capacity; third, related constraints operating environment for Cox’s Bazar, conclude that lens is necessary further understanding dynamics impeding particular action general.
